Memorial services will be conducted Friday evening, January 8, 2016 at 7:00 P.M. from the First United Methodist Church of Dickson,TN with the Rev. Steven Lee officiating. Visitation with her family will be at the church on Friday beginning at 5:00 P.M. until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Tennessee Baptist Adult Homes Nabi House, P.O. Box 728, Brentwood,TN 37024-0778.
Lillie, age 71, of Dickson,TN died peacefully at her home in the early hours of Tuesday, January 5, 2016.
She was born in Iceland and was the daughter of the late Warner Cooper Taylor, Sr. and Elizabeth (Beta) Taylor.
She was a graduate of Dickson High School, class of 1962 and later attended Austin Peay University. Lillie was an avid golfer, loved a good tennis game and loved sitting at a table playing bridge. She loved life and her family. Lillie was loved dearly by her children, grandchildren, brother, nieces and nephews. Warner, her brother, said that Lillie was his biggest booster, opened many doors for him and always offered him good, solid advice.. Lillie...... A beautiful person with a beautiful outside and a beautifull inside. She was formerly employed by the State of Tennessee as a bookkeeper and later worked with her husband as a bookkeeper for Brown's Body Shop in Franklin,TN Lillie was a fun loving and always looking for a good laugh. When having lunch with the "Girls" they were always plotting.. She was not above taking up a collection from the "Girls" to ask the waiter for a "table dance". She loved everyone! She was a former member of the Franklin First United Methodist Church and is now a member of the First United Methodist Church of Dickson,TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Brown.
Survivors include her three sons, Mike Brown of Lebanon,TN, Lee Wheat of Dickson,TN and Keith Wheat and his wife, Vicki of Murfreesboro,TN; her 4 grandchildren; her brother, Warner Taylor, Jr. and his wife, Wanda of Dickson, TN; Two nieces and One nephew, great nieces and nephews.
