James Oliver Crumbaker, age 98 of Burns, died Thursday, January 7, 2016 at NHC, Dickson. His wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned locally. His ashes will be interred at a later date in Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Covenant Church, Burns, TN.

Born in Hopkins County, Kentucky James was the son of the late Walter Thomas and Sarah Annie Oliver Crumbaker. He was a graduate of the Ford Engineering School and previously worked for the Ford Motor Company, having dined in the home of its founder, Henry Ford. He later retired as a manager in Manufacturing Engineering. Mr. Crumbaker was a founding member of Covenant Church in Burns, and was elected its first Board Member.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Ona Mae Richardson Crumbaker; all nine of his siblings; and by one daughter, Patricia “Patty” Crumbaker.

He is survived by his current wife, Patricia Anne Wenker Crumbaker, Burns, TN; his children, James William “Bill” Crumbaker, Dorothy “Dotti” Trulin, and Stephen Crumbacher; 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
