   Funeral services will be conducted Friday, January 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Kleine and Rev. Nick Baird-Chrisohon offciating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening, January 28th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
   Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Charlotte Fagan United Methodist Church or to the charity of your choice.
   Mr. Gilliam, age 79, of Charlotte, died Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at his home.
   He was born in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, son of the late Maurice "Kitten" and Sarah Luke Gilliam, grandson of the late Pitts Elbert and Eudora Mathis Gilliam and the late James Thomas and Flora Ethel Bowker Luke. He was married to Rev. Sandra "Sandy" Dotterer Gilliam who predeceased him in 2009. Ray was a journeyman printer for  the Michigan Typesetting Company. He also worked as a sales representative for Compugraphics in Springboro, Ohio and for several other companies. In later years he also worked as a bank courier. Ray was a member of the Charlotte Fagan United Methodist Church.
   Survivors include his son, Danny Gilliam, Dayton, OH; three daughters, Renee Rice and  husband, James of Longview, TX, Deidra Drumm and husband Joseph of Dayton, OH, and Jessica Lynn Miller and husband, William of Charlotte,TN; brothers, James Gilliam and wife, Judy of Austin, TX, and Douglas R. Gilliam and wife, Linda of Metamora, MI; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren.
   Grandsons will serve as casket bearers.
