   Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Bill McDonald officiating, Tommy Marvin having scripture and prayer and Bro. Edgar Beard giving the closing prayer. Place  of rest will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sylvia,TN.
   Visitation with the family will be Saturday, March 19th from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. until time of service
   In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me account has been set up to assist Scotty's family with end of life expenses.
   Scotty, age 46, of Cumberland Furnace,TN died March 17, 2016 at Horizon Medical Center after a eight year courageous battle with cancer. He has won his battle.
   Born in Dickson County, son of Rachel Shelton Harris. Scotty was a 1988 graduate of Dickson County Senior High School and served his country in the United States Navy.  During the last eight years his spirits remained high and determined. He fought his battle consistant and valiantly. He was a "Jack of All Trades" and "Master of All".  When in need of a professional, his family always called Scotty. He could farm, he could be a construction worker,  he could paint,  he was the best of mechanics and could work on anything.  Scotty was of the Christain faith.  Scotty was a family man....loved his family and adored them.  He especially loved all of the kids. He had a passion for camping and fishing and loved the Piney River. Scotty had a talent to draw and really enjoyed it. He was a master griller and loved to cook and share with family and friends.
   Survivors include his wife and love of 12 years, Rhonda Harris; his mother, Rachel Harris of Charlotte,TN; his son, Daytin Harris of Texas; his brother, Shane Harris and his wife, April of Charlotte,TN; his sisters, Stephanie Edwards and her husband, Jeff of Sylvia,TN, and Sherry Gill and her husband, Randy of Dickson,TN; his step children, Justin Jones and Jalisa Jones both of Charlotte,TN; his two grandchildren; sister in law Donna Jones and her husband, Steve of Dickson,TN; 11 nieces and nephews, preceded in death by two nieces and one nephew.
   Casket bearers will be Blake Edwards, Jeff Edwards, Shane Harris, Hunter Harris, Zach Harris, Raymond Perez, Trevor Jones and Larry Holloway, honorary casket beares, Noah Harris and Alonzo Bowens, Sr.
