   Family and friends will gather at Rock Church Cemetery  on Wednesday morning, June 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. for graveside funeral services, her son Ronald Murphy will give her eulogy. Place of rest will be in the Rock Church Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 14th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
   Those desiring, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
   Martha, age 73, died Sunday, June 12, 2016 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center after a short stay.
   She was born in Dickson County, daughter of the late Will David and Artie Ann Bishop Capps. She was the widow of the late Donald Lee Murphy who died in 1978.   Martha worked at the former Schrader's and later worked for 29 years for Jim Marvin Enterprises.  She worked as secretary, bookkeeper, import and exporting and receiving. She was a part of the Jim Marvin family. She was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy and a sister, Nancy Bowker.
   A kind, sweet spirited lady, who loved her kids, grand-kids, and all of her family and friends. She had a big heart, who could not turn anyone down.  Martha was widowed at a very young age in her journey, left to raise six children, with her strength and her determination she succeeded in raising hers and countless others. She was a loving "Mammie" to her grands.
   Martha loved watching sports, golf, football and most sporting events.
   She is survived by five children; Bonnie Capps (Tony) of Dickson, TN, Ronald David Murphy (Ruth) of Arkansas, Donald Thomas Murphy of Dickson,TN, Cindy McFarlin (Kenny Mercer) of Ashland City,TN and Heather Suzanne Murphy of Ashland, City,TN; her 11 grandchildren and her 11 great grandchildren; her two brothers, William Preston "Sonny" Capps (Wilma) of Centerville,TN and Howard  Capps (Cheryl) of Marion, TN; her sisters, Gracie Sylvis of Centerville, TN, Mary "Pete" Cappsof Cumberland Furnace,TN and Marie Capps of Dickson, TN.
