     A Celebration of life  will be on Saturday, July 9th, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with  Bro. Matthew Honeycutt and Bro. Michael Oliver officiating.  Visitation with the family will be Friday, July 8, 2016 from 4 until 8 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home and on Saturday, July 9th from 11 a.m. until time for the service.  A Masonic memorial service will be Friday evening beginning at 7:40 p.m. during the final 20 minutes of visitation.    Interment with military honors will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2016 from the Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Lane, Nashville, Tennessee.  Active Casket Bearers are Ronald Coates, Marshall Horn, Keith Stanfill, Johnny Halliburton, Glen Choate, and Michael Lett.  Honorary Casket Bearers are past and present employees of the Greater Dickson Gas Authority.

   For those desiring, memorials are requested for the Albright Cemetery Fund, the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation, or to Shriner’s Children’s Hospitals.

   Dave, age 77, of Vanleer, TN died July 5, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after a short stay.

   Born and reared in Abingdon, Virginia, Dave was the son of the late George W. and Lula Combs Hart.  He later moved to Ocala, Florida.  While serving in the U. S. Army and stationed at Ft. Campbell, he met the love of his life, Barbara Albright (Hart).  They were married June 28, 1963 while he was stationed at Ft. Bliss, Texas and have recently celebrated 53 years together.  Dave was “Pop” to Barry and Michelle and “PawPaw” to Megan and Kaitie.  Dave was a member of Stoney Point Baptist Church and also attended Carlisle Baptist Church.  He retired from the Greater Dickson Gas Authority where he worked for some 21 years.  Dave was an avid coffee drinker, was known for his humor and laughter and possessed an unconditional love for his family, especially his granddaughters, for his church and community friends, for his co-workers and for his Masonic family.  He was creative in woodworking and worked tirelessly on any of his “projects”.  Dave never met a stranger and excelled verbal communication.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Frank Hart and Preston Hart and by his sister, Mae Rosenbalm.

   Dave was raised as a master mason in Vanleer Lodge #319, F&AM in 1965, becoming a 50-year member in 2015.  He served as Worshipful Master of Vanleer Lodge in 1973.   He was a Past High Priest of Dickson Chapter #123, Royal Arch Masons and served the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Tennessee as Most Excellent Grand High Priest in 1996; Past Illustrious Master of Dickson Council #107 Royal and Select Masters; Past Eminent Commander of Clarksville Commandery #8 and Dickson Commandery #41, Knights Templar; was awarded Knight York Grand Cross of Honor; Past Governor of the Middle Tennessee York Rite College; Past Secretary-Recorder of the Grand York Rite Bodies of Tennessee; 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Memphis; member of the Al Menah Shrine Temple; served as Grand Secretary of the Grand Lodge of Tennessee from 2007-2012; was awarded status of Past Grand Secretary Emeritus at the Grand Lodge Session in 2013.

   Survivors include his wife, Barbara Albright Hart, Vanleer; his son, Barry Hart and his wife Michelle of Cumberland City, Tennessee; his two granddaughters, Megan Hart and Kaitie Hart, both of Cumberland City; and a brother, Arthur Hart and his wife Jo of Bremerton, Washington.

   Active casket bearers will be: Ronald Coates, Marshall Horn, Keith Stanfill, Johnny Halliburton, Glen Choate and Michael Lett, Honorary: Past and Present Greater Dickson Gas Authority Employees.
