Mrs. Stockman of Vanleer, age 93, a loving mother, grandmother and owner of the former Kuzin Karl's Kountry Kitchen at I-40 , died Saturday August 20, 2016 at her home.  She was in the restaurant business for some 35 years before retiring.  She shared her art of cooking to all of Dickson and surrounding counties and to all of the people traveling through Dickson County.
She was born in Dickson County, daughter of the late Clarence William and Ira Jane Browning Smith and was the widow of the late Home Allen Stockman, Sr.
A woman of great strength, dry wit and a great sense of humor,  she loved her flowers, gardening, and antiques. She just loved collecting.  She loved being a part of a good joke, whether receiving or giving.  She could give one the most serious of serious looks, but don't  misinterpret her look,  she had a heart of gold and was one of the most giving and fun loving southern ladies around.
Survivors include her son, Homer Allen Stockman (Junior), Jr. of Dickson, TN and her daughter, Erlene S. Robertson of Vanleer, TN, her grandsons, Darryl Stockman and his wife, Dinah, Landon Stockman and his wife, Amanda, her two great grandson, Rett Stockman and Rob Stockman, and Vicki, mother of Darryl and  Landon.
