 William “Buck” Harris, age 86 of Dickson died at home on September 7, 2016.  Visitation Thursday, September 8, 2016 form 4pm until 8pm at the Taylor Funeral Home, and on Friday at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church from 1pm until 3pm.  A funeral service is scheduled for Friday, September 9, 2016 at 3pm at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.  Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Harris was born September 8, 1929.  A native of Dickson, Buck was the son of the late Mangrum Eugene Harris and Callie Horn Harris.  He was the last of their six sons.  His wife of 38 years, Mary Alice Filson Harris preceded him in death in 1991.  Buck retired from the Tennessee Foundry after 40+ years of service.  He was a beloved member and servant of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Dickson for over 60 years.  He served his Country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  In addition to his parents and wife Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his 5 brothers, Gene, Howard, Wendell, Melvin, and Pete Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Harris; his daughters, Dean Weaver and her husband, Phillip of Mt. Juliet, and Carolyn Richardson and her husband, Vic of Dickson; 2 grandchildren, Adam Weaver and his wife, Mary Joe of Nashville, Leah Tomlinson and her husband Jason of Hendersonville; 3 great grandchildren, Landon, Hannah, Nathan.
