Pastor Tommy began preaching at the age of 15 and at 19 he became the youngest full-time evangelist in the Southern Baptist Convention. For ten years he traveled across the United States preaching in churches, high school assemblies, area-wide crusades, as well as television and radio appearances.  In 1973, he received his private pilot’s license and quickly incorporated flying into his ministry.

Outside of Ministry, he enjoyed tournament fishing, flying, hunting, and target shooting. While working as Sales Rep for Winner boats, he had the privilege to fish several B.A.S.S Tournaments. “Tommy Sesler Outdoors” was his column in The Dickson Herald for several years in the 80’s as well as a weekly Radio Program.

After moving to Dickson in 1980, he volunteered with the Dickson County Sheriff’s Department to use his flying skills to aid in solving crimes and locating marijuana plants.  He was the owner of Skylens Aerial Photography doing commercial and residential shoots. He also worked for Grizzle Ford in Dickson, Crown Ford in Nashville, and was the owner of Dickson County Motors for 18 years.

Pastor Tommy was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, Tom & A.Z. Sesler.
