    .
FOR WHAT IS YOUR LIFE? It is a vapour, that appeareth for a little time and then vanisheth away.    James 4:14
On October 29, 2016 God claimed on of his own and on this day we say in humble submission “Lord, not our will; but Thine be done.”
Mr. William Ralph Primm was born on December 24, 1925 to the late Albert and Eolie Edmondson Primm. He professed his faith at Stone Chapel Methodist Church at an early age and received his early learning in the Promise Land Community. On December 31, 1944 he married Vera Dixon who preceded him in death on September 29, 1999 after 55 years of marriage. To this union 8 children were born. Two daughters, Lucille (Larry) Evans of Dickson, TN, and Susie Lee Bell (deceased) a son in law Billy Ray Bell of Bellsburg, TN, 6 sons, Larry Primm (deceased daughter in law Terry Ramey Primm of Cumberland Furnace, Albert (Shirley) Primm of Cumberland Furnace, TN, Ronnie (Pamela) Primm of Dickson, TN, Donnie Primm of Cumberland Furnace, TN, Fred (Emma) Primm of Cumberland Furnace, TN, a beloved nephew he helped raise as his own, Phil Primm, two play sons, Huey and Leonard Modena. He will be remembered lovingly by his family and surviving sister, Sarah Primm Dixon of Charlotte, TN and one sister in law, Sue Bell Primm. Preceded in death by grandson, Dudley Evans and brothers, Joe, John, Howard, Albert and Leslie Primm, Sisters, Thelma Jones, Lou Hughes, Annis Watkins and Pauline Vaughn. He leaves many nieces and nephews along with special friends.

Daddy William was a teller of tall tales oftentimes people didn’t know if it was fact or tale! His parents were farmers…sharecroppers to be exact; so he naturally followed in their footsteps. Equipped with a 6th grade education and a fierce work ethic. He set his sights on making his way in the world for his wife and children. Year after year he raised wonderful tobacco crops… to be told.. he’d only broke even that year. But he stayed focused and kept on task because his vision was big and bright. He later started working in construction and at Tennessee Castings. This enabled him to live the “ American Dream  “  of ownership of property that he built his home on that he shared with generation of people. That is his great legacy…. DETERMINATION…And those 8 children turned out just fine. Each is living their best life because of his efforts and sacrifices all is well. Daddy William…your life was one well spent.
