 Mr. Tommy Standsberry Lane, age 89 of Burns, TN died Sunday November 13, 2016.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 16, 2016 at 2 PM in the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral home with Bro. David Davidson & Bro. Gale Westcott officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at Noon on Wednesday the 16th of November and last until service time. Prior the service commencing there will be a Masonic Service held in the chapel.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.

He was the son of the late Viola Rose Miller and Jim Lane. Mr. Lane served his country in the U. S. Army as an Engineer and a Cook. He was a retired driver for Roadway Trucking. Tommy was a modest man; he was hardworking and enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He was a member of the White Bluff Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brothers, Curl, Billy, Joe, and Dewy “Pinky” Lane; sisters, Lila Grace Lane Philpott, and Elma Ruth Lane; grandchildren, Edie Ann Lane, Katherine Anne “Katie” Lane, and Kayla Lenn Wall.

Mr. Lane is survived by his wife of 73 years, Effie Imogene “Jean” Knox Lane; sons, James David Lane and his wife, Wanda of Mason, OH, Glenn Edward Lane and his wife, Terry of Duck River, TN, Tommy Lynn Lane and wife, Elizabeth of Tunnel Hill, GA; daughter, Debbie Rose Wall and her husband, Lennie of Vanleer, TN; brother, Cecil Lane of McDonough, GA; grandchildren, Mary Beth Johnson (Craig) of Manchester, TN, Denise Miller (Rodney) of Franklinton, NC, Mike Lane (Amy) of Lebanon, OH, Matt Lane (Tina) of Tunnel Hill, GA, Glenn Lane Jr. (Amy) of Duck River, TN, Erica Logan (Stefan) of Dickson, TN, Justin Wall (Marci) of Vanleer, TN; great grandchildren Taylor Jones, Matt, Kyle, and Nicholas Johnson, Luke, Josh, Mark, and Daniel Miller, Alexa and Logan Lane, Emily and Eli Lane, Blake, Faith, Emily Hasley, Glenn Lane III, Knox and Kamden Logan, and Whitley Wall; sister in-laws, Ella Dilbeck  of Niota, TN, and Bobbie Billings of Athens, TN.
