Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. David Lunsford will officiate. Visitation with her family will be on Saturday beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of services.
Those desiring, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or to the Child Advocacy Center.
Brenda, age 74, of Charlotte,TN died peacefully in her sleep January 1, 2017.
She was a native of Charlotte,TN daughter of the late Oscar and Gladis Claytie Duke Batey. She married Edward Mitchell early in life and later graduated high school at DuPont High School in Old Hickory, TN. Brenda started her working career at the former Zayre Department Store in Nashville and later worked until retirement as a secretary with Eubank Paving Co. She was of the Methodist faith and attended the Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Edward Mitchell of Charlotte,TN; her daughter, Hollie Angelino and her husband, Terry of Charlotte,TN; her one and only grandchild who was her world, Ty Angelino of Charlotte,TN; her brother, Joe Batey of Charlotte,TN; her five sisters, Bonnie Duke and her husband, Jimmy of Charlotte,TN, Becky Eubank and her husband, Mike of Charlotte,TN, Barbara Harris of Charlotte,TN, Jackie Dierks and her husband, Danny of Brentwood,TN and Peg Barnhill of Fairview,TN; Several nieces and nephews, several great neices and nephews.
