A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11am on Monday, May 15, 2017. A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 12 noon on Monday at the Taylor Funeral Home. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Dickson’s Union Cemetery
Mr. Bissinger was born on March 19, 1922 in White Bluff, Tennessee to the late, Minnie Buttrey Naylor.
He served his country with over 20 years with the United States Navy and Army serving in World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars. Mr. Bissinger was highly decorated receiving the Vietnam Gallantry Cross, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, twice receiving the National Defense Service Metal and twice receiving the Good Conduct Metal.
Mr. Bissinger is survived by his nieces, Gala Rountree and Jenny Pearson.
