Born in Montgomery County, Tenneesee, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Benjamin and Virginia Clay Vaughan Hodges. Known by family and friends as Mary or Mary Alice or Big Momma. She loved her family first and foremost. She was always there for them to show love and support at many, many ballgames, fundraisers, graduations, performances of any kind and the list goes on.  She traveled miles just to be there. She found joy in her flower and herb gardens and she enjoyed sharing her plants with family and friends. Also she never meet a dog she didn't like.
