Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon, October 13, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Tommy Marvin will give her eulogy. Entombment will follow in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 12th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Friday beginning at 12 Noon until time of service.
Dorothy, known by family and friends as Dot, died suddenly Tuesday October 10, 2017 at TriStar Horizon Medical Center.
She was born in Hickman County, daughter of the late Algie C. and Donnie Mae Tucker Mash. Dot was the widow of the late James Marshall Martin who died in 2006.
Dot, her late husband, Marshall and daughters, Marsha and Candy are longtime Dickson, Tennessee business owners. They continue to own and operate the Kwik Stop Market on Hwy 70 East. Also they own and operate the East End Liquors. Dot and her late sister, Shirley McCaslin were partners in the former Jan Ann's Ladies Shop in Dickson for over 30 years.
Years ago she attended beauty school and is a member of the Eastern Star and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her two daughters, Marsha Martin Leach and her husband, Kenneth of Dickson, TN and Candy Martin Buchanan and her husband, Keith of Dickson,TN, her granddaughter, Lacey Erranton and her husband, Michael of Dickson,TN and her nephew, David Martin. Many other family members, extended family members and devoted employees.
