Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Eric Limbo officiating. Place of rest will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Monday evening, November 20th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Greenwood Cemetery Fund.
Mrs. Chandler, age 91, of Charlotte,TN, known by family and friends as Ginny, died peacefully at The Meadows in Nashville, Tn.
She was born in Nashville, Tennessee daughter of the late Vervin Thomas McClelland and Verla Catherine Duke McClelland. She was the widow of the late Samuel David Chandler. Ginny was a retired medical secretary at Vanderbilt for over 35 years.
Lifelong member of the Greenwood United Methodist Church and was very active with her late husband in the local American Cancer Society Auction for many years.
Ginny was a kind and sweet spirited southern lady. She loved dearly her family and friends and was one of ladies that always had a kind word for those around her. She loved to knit and to crochet in her spare time. She and her late husband, Sam loved their farm in the Dull Community in Dickson County. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Herbert McClelland, Mary Ann Jones, Sarah Spruill and V. T. McClelland, Jr.
Survivors include her brothers; James R. McClelland, Joel T. McClelland both of Charlotte,TN and William C. (Sharkey) McClelland of Jackson,TN, her sisters; Clara Story of Charlotte,TN, Brenda Work of Dickson,TN, Linda Cammack of Loudon,TN and Rose Baird of Charlotte,TN. Several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
