Born in Charlotte, Tennessee Cherry was the daughter of the late William and Willie Butler Hooper.  For more than thirty years, Cherry taught cosmetology courses at what is now Tennessee Technology Center in Dickson.   Countless students have benefitted from her instruction.  She started her career there from its inception in the 1960’s when it was called Frank G. Clement Area Vocational School.  Cherry also loved flowers and gardening and was especially fond of tending her roses.  Other interests included word search puzzles and antiquing.  She was an avid listener of WDKN and would not miss hearing the death notices or Swap and Shop.  Last but not least she was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Cherry was predeceased by two brothers, William Mason Hooper and Terry Dean Hooper.  She is survived by her two children, Roxanne Vaughn (Jimmy), of Burns and Brad Hall (Brenda), of Charlotte; grandchildren, Beth Vaughn, Christopher Vaughn, Christian Hall, and Stephen Brown; great-grandchildren, Levi, Isaiah, and Dahlia; numerous other relatives and friends.
