Sky Thomas Cantu

    Funeral mass will be held on Monday morning, December 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. from St. Christopher's Catholic Church with Father Mathew Perumpally officiant. Place of rest will be in the St. Patrick's Cemetery in McEwen.  Visitation will be Sunday evening, December 10th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the Rosary being recited at 7:30 p.m.
    Those desiring, memorials are suggested to the Tennessee Donor Services or to the Dickson County Humane Society.
    Sky, age 23, of Nashville, Tn died December 2, 2017 at Skyline Medical Center from injuries sustained in an accident.
    He was born in Knoxville,TN and was a graduate of East Hickman High School, Class of 2012. Sky loved hot cheetos and  mountain dew, he loved people and especially children.  He was witty, funny and a joy to be around.  Other loves in his life was music, theatre, sports and the our of doors.  He loved soccer and excelled in it.
   He fought hard against his issues of life and was making great strides against them. May he rest in peace.
   Survivors include his parents; Leo and Kim Cantu of Bon Aqua,TN, his birth father, Roderick "Bo" Ellington and his step mother Dr. Rita Ellington both of Alaska, his two children, Nicka'Lye Cantu and Zarinna Bryan, his grandparents, Nancy Brownfiel of Dickson,TN and Johnny and Virginia Cantu of Texas, his brothers and sisters, Summer Ledbetter and her husband, John of Knoxville,TN, Kevin Waggoner of Knoxville,TN, Jamal Siler of Memphis, TN, Jamar Siler of Hartsville, TN and the one with the most memories shared, Storm Cantu of Nashville,TN and Kivaso Neketa of Alaska.
