     Funeral services will be Monday February 12, 2018 at 1 PM at Restoration Church with Bro. Cliff Reynolds officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Sunday February 11th from 3 to 6 PM at Restoration Church.
     Mr. Murlin Minus Grice, age 101 of Dickson, TN passed away Tuesday February 6, 2018. He was born October 28, 1916 in Dover, TN. He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Elizabeth Sykes Grice and was preceded in death by his wife, Charlene Juanita Ballard Grice. Murlin served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) under President Franklin Roosevelt during the Great Depression. After marriage, Murlin and Juanita moved to Detroit, MI in 1941. He worked at Cadillac Motors and General Motors until retiring at age 65.
     They began attending Bethesda Missionary Temple in Detroit, MI in 1948. Murlin and Juanita were faithful to raise their children in the faith, taught in the Children’s Sunday School department, served as ushers, deacons and elders in the church. Murlin also repaired washers and dryers part time for members of the church as a ministry.
     In 1985, they moved to Tennessee where Murlin served as an elder at Restoration Church. After his wife passed he began attending Living Water Church in Dickson, TN. His hobbies were golf and witnessing to just about everyone he met. The question was “If you were to die today do you know where you would spend eternity?”
    Survivors include his children, Cynthia Holliday (Dave) of Ionia, MI, Mary LeBeault, David Grice and Debbie Pershing all of Rochester, MI, Ron Grice of Lebanon, TN, Doug Grice (Caryn) and Tina Grice all of Dickson, TN; 11 grandchildren, Todd Holliday (Laura), Tammy Szubielak (Jason), John David Holliday (Renee), Julie Yuhas (Joseph), Amy Grice, Holly Grice, Kelly Morris (Joel), Steven Pershing, Michael Pershing, Rebecca Gray, Robyn Nelson (Kyle); 23 great grandchildren.
