Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, April 5, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Tommy Marvin will give his eulogy. Place of rest will be in the Hall Cemetery in Montgomery Bell State Park, Burns, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday evening, April 4, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Military honors will be observed following the service in the chapel.

Alton Ezell Brown, age 71, of Spring Hill, TN passed away on April 1, 2018 at Maury Reginal Medical Center surrounded by family.
Alton was born March 27, 1947 in Dickson, TN. He was a 1965 graduate of Dickson High School and a 1969 graduate of The University of Tennessee Martin. He was a member of Mossy Creek United Methodist Church, Cleveland, GA. Alton served his country as a 1
st Lieutenant in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. His career achievements included Senior VP of Fidelity Federal, Executive Director of the Tennessee Housing Development Agency, City Administrator of Dickson, TN and County Manager of White County, Georgia. His special interests included genealogy, antiquities and Tennessee athletics. He was preceded in death by his father, James Ezell Brown and step-father, Melvin Gentry.
Alton is survived by his loving wife, Teresa Bowman Brown of 48 years; his mother, Christine Myatt Gentry; his children, Scott (Shouna) Brown, Christopher (Megan) Brown, Ashley (Scott) Bouslog, his grandchildren, Adalynn, Emilynn, Rhilynn, Brooklyn, Griffin and Ryan; siblings, Carolyn Yokley, Don Brown, Judy (Wayne) Weaver, Rita Brown, Melva Jean (Byron) Warden, Larry Gentry, Roger (Beverly) Gentry and many nieces and nephews.
Family and Friends will serve as casket bearers.
