Born in Erin, Tennessee, Bobby was the son of Esther Cherry Baggett and the late Harold Ray Baggett. He worked for the Kroger Company in Clarksville and Dickson. Before that, he taught for eight years at Stuart-Burns Elementary School. Bobby received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Austin Peay State University. He received additional post-secondary education courses at Vanderbilt University in the field of Special Education. He loved nature, gardening and soil conservation, and the Fine Arts. He was a member of Slayden Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Esther Cherry Baggett, Slayden; his brother, Randal Dean Baggett (Margaret), Slayden; his sister, Melinda Sue Baggett Carroll, Dickson; special best friend, Jesilee Northington, Nashville; special aunt, Jane Jones; aunt, Ann Hayes, Dover; uncle, Gwin Baggett, Dover; niece and nephews, Elizabeth Carroll, Jeramie Baggett (Rebecca), and Jonathon Baggett; great niece and nephew, Abigail Baggett and Daniel Baggett. Besides his father, he was predeceased by aunts, Reba Nell Stiles and Doye Fletcher; uncle, Lloyd Baggett; and by grandparents, T. I. and Sadie Cherry and Lurton and Maydell Baggett.
