Funeral services will be held on Tuesday afternoon, May 29, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Randy Ramey giving the eulogy.  Place of rest will be in the East Dickson Cemetery. Following the graveside service, a repass will be held at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home on Monday, May 28, 2018 from 2pm until 5pm and on Tuesday from 1pm until the time of service. 

Mrs. Audrey P. Thompson (also known as "Little Bit"), age 74 of Dickson, died on Friday, May 25, 2018 at the NHC Place at the Trace in Nashville, TN.  She was born June 10, 1943 in Dickson, TN.  She was a daughter of the late Charles Polite and the late Elsie Ellis Marable Hogan.  Audrey was a graduate of the Hampton High School, Class of 1961.  As a student, she played basketball and was a majorette in the band. She worked at the Schrader Plant for 21 years and worked for Nashville Wire at the White Bluff and McEwen locations.  She retired from the McEwen location as a paint line inspector with 21 years of service to the company.  Audrey was gifted with a talent to sew and tailor clothing.  She was a “Dixie Traveler Supporter,” and a passionate fan of the Titans, and she had a passion for cooking as well.   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Thompson; and a grandson, Quintin Dewayne Tidwell, Sr.

Mrs. Thompson leaves her children to cherish her memory, LaTroy Russ (Lynette) of Antioch, TN, Robert L. Thompson Jr. of Charlotte, TN, Renita Renae Thompson of Dickson, TN, Rebecca Ann Thompson of Spring Hill, TN, and Rosalind Annette Valerio (Michael) of Spring Hill, TN; her siblings, a twin brother, Aubrey Polite of Dickson, TN, Shirley Mayberry of Lyles, TN, Hurley Mayberry of Dickson, TN, James Marable (Kim) of Dickson, TN, Sharon Bell (Jeffrey) of Dickson, TN, Marsha Marable of Dickson, TN; a half-sister, Jeanette Brooks of Clarksville, TN; 8 grandchildren, Quiana Brown, Anthony Thompson, Sheritta Russ, LaTroya Butts, Tabreka Pollard, Arérion Thompson, Stacey Thompson, Kevellin Sanders; 13 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.  Mrs. Thompson is also survived by her many friends that called her "Granny."

 The family would like to acknowledge and thank Horizon Medical Center, NHC Place at the Trace, and St. Thomas West for the care Mrs. Thompson received.
