 Funeral services will be conducted Thursday afternoon, August 8, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. from the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy in White Bluff, TN. Place of rest will be in the Williams Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Taylor Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

Those desiring, memorials may be made to the Dickson County Help Center.

Mr. Baker, age 90, of White Bluff, TN died peacefully at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center on August 5, 2019.

Mr. Baker was born in Dickson County the son of the late John Whitfield and Mary Elizabeth Joslin Baker. He was a retired employee with the former Avco Aerostructures where he was a templet maker. He proudly served his country in the Korean Conflict in the United States Army. After retirement, he loved to work and help his friends with their small engine repairs. He was married to the former Willie Ruth Story for 67 years. Together, they attended the Crossroads Church of God of Prophecy. He was preceded in death by his son, Mark Stephen Baker and several brothers and sisters.

Endless care, comfort, and love was extended to our family by Dr. Susan Orsbon, the doctors and nurses at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center, Home Care Solutions, Caris Home Care, Amanda Lovelace, Haley Allsbrooks, and Janie Spicer. We will never forget the kindness and devotion that we received from all of you.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Willie Ruth Story Baker of White Bluff, TN; his four sons, Wade Baker and wife Sheryl of White Bluff, TN, Tim Baker and wife, Wanda of Kingston Springs, TN, Darryl Baker and wife, Dana of Burns, TN, and Terry Baker and wife Senita of Dickson, TN; his sister, Mrs. Eula Pack of White Bluff, TN; seven grandchildren, Kyle Baker, Caleb Baker, Kara Crummer, Rachel Baker, Bryce Baker, Morgan Baker Rees, Bradley Baker; great-grandchildren, Campbell Baker, Kaiden Baker, Grayson Baker, and Clifton Crummer.

Mr. Baker's grandsons, grandsons-in-law, and friends will serve as casket bearers.
