Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home. Rev. Jeffrey Norfleet, eulogist.  Place of rest will be in the Promise Land Cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday beginning at 12 noon until time of service. Viewing will begin Friday September 6, 2019 at 3:00 p.m.

Mr. Dixon, age 59, of Charlotte, TN passed Sunday September 1, 2019 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center.

Calvin Eugene “Panhead” Dixon was born in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee on July 16, 1960 to Mary Aline Darden Dixon and Henry Dixon, Jr. He attended Dickson County High School. He professed his faith in Christ at the McGavock Chapel A.M.E. Church. Calvin serviced in the National Guard and enjoyed writing poems and had the type of personality that made everyone laugh with his jokes.  He loved NFL and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.  He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Dixon, Jr., sister, Mary Helen Dixon, grandmothers, Lizzine Darden and Iva D. Harris, grandfathers, Gilbert Darden and Henry Dixon, Sr., 5 uncles and 3 aunts.

He leaves to mourn his mother, Mary Aline Dixon; his two brothers, Hugh Willie (Marilyn) Dixon and Joel (Brenda) Dixon; his four sisters, Cheryl (Allen) Vaughn, Doris (Joel) Wicks, Rhonda (Carl) Dixon and Debra (Michael) Dixon; 11 nephews, 2 nieces, 8 great nephews and 8 great nieces; his three aunts, Mable Darden, Maggie Smith and Sarah Dixon. A host of cousins, special friends, Baby Fred, Willis Talley, Troy Edmondson, Eddie Hughes, Neil Corlew, Walter Primm and Anthony Primm.
