     Marjorie Louise “Lou” Meek-Kirk Hay, age 84 of Dickson, TN passed away December 14, 2019, at Horizon Medical Center surrounded by her family after a battle with cancer. Her wishes were to be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
     Her survivors include her husband, Dorris “Buzz” Hay, her youngest brother, Johnny Ray Meek (Lila), daughters, Lou Anne Kirk Wenck (Robert), Billie Kay Kirk Ellis (John Hawks), Deborah Kirk-Story (Bryan); son, Willie Kirk (Rachael); 5 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Minnie Sanker Meek; first husband, Billie F. Kirk; sister, Agnes Meek-Cauthren; brother, Edgar Meek.
     Lou Hay was a very loving, gentle, and caring nurse. She worked in many areas to include Nursing homes, office nurse for Dr. Blevins and Dr. Mills, floor nurse at Horizon and Baptist, and doing home health, she and her husband were instrumental in getting Cheatham Medical Center up and ready.
     She was an accomplished artist; she painted the most beautiful paintings. She loved her crafts also. In addition to knitting and crocheting, she worked a lot with glass, she etched in glass and she made wind chimes out of bottles, she quilted, sewed, she could take a plastic bag and make it into something beautiful, she was very talented in so many ways.

     She loved her family. She enjoyed teaching the grandchildren how to craft, how to work with craft ideas and putting their vision into something beautiful. She was a beautiful lady who embraced life, loved her family, birds and flowers. She enjoyed traveling, going for long rides, fishing and her husband Buzz. She was a 29 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, and also a member of the VFW.
