Kenneth Ray Fowlkes died May 16, 2020.  He was 83 years old.

Kenneth was an amazingly successful real estate agent and auctioneer in Dickson for about 25 years.  He brought in Walmart to Dickson, developed and sold Archway Apartments, developed and sold the land for current Dickson Post Office and the properties on that hill, developed and sold a small housing complex, held countless auctions big and small, and had his own real estate office with staff.  He was a founding member of Dickson Realtors Association, and he was a founding member of Noontime Rotary Club with 25 years perfect attendance.

He loved Jesus Christ and his local church.  He was a deacon at First Baptist Dickson for 40+ years.  The last 15 years of his life he was rarely physically able to attend his local church.

He loved his family!  He is survived by his loving wife, Magaline; his two sons: Ken and Keith his wife, Stephanie; granddaughter, Amelia; grandsons, Dax and Darius; and his sisters:  Magdaline Vineyard and Ruth Hall.

Kenneth wasn’t defined by his 20-year battle with Parkinson’s and Diabetes, his 50-year battle with Arthritis, or his one good eye; he wasn’t defined by his 2 really horrible car wrecks or the extreme poverty he survived during his childhood.  He was defined by his honor, his indomitable spirit, his everlasting humor, his zeal for life, his love of Christ, his love for his family, his big smile, and his love for others.

He was a life-long University of Tennessee Volunteer’s fan – he and his family were UT football season ticket holders for about 30 years.

A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at the Dickson County Memorial Gardens 3230 Hwy 70 East, Burns, TN 37029.
