 Funeral services for Banida Ann Spicer Nichols, age 65 of Dickson, will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 4, 2020 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Manning officiating and with the eulogy to be delivered by Elder Robert Childress.  Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Tank Hill Road, Waverly, Tennessee.  The family will receive friends from noon until service time.  Banida died suddenly Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Horizon Medical Center.  To view the funeral service live on Tuesday, CLICK HERE.

Born in Waverly, Banida was the daughter of the late Evelyn Jean Spicer and Clyde Allen Taylor.  She graduated from Waverly High School and was married to Charles Nichols.  She was a member of 40th Avenue Original Church of God in Nashville; and was formerly a member of Salter’s Chapel AME in Waverly and Greater Faith Fellowship Church in Dickson.  Banida loved the Lord and served Him in every church she was a part of and carried His message of love and salvation to her family, and to her many friends and acquaintances.  She was predeceased by her brothers, Wesley Spicer and Joe Clyde Taylor and by two infant sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Charles Nichols, Dickson; sisters, Rhonda Kay Spicer, Norman Jean Ashmore (Leonard), Joyce Taylor, Linda Jones, and Georgia Phillips, all of Waverly, Priscilla Buchanan, Iowa, and Betty Jane Taylor, Centerville; brothers, Charles Ray Taylor (Sue), and Kenneth Taylor (Debbie), both of Waverly, E. Terry Taylor (Gail), Nashville, Ricky Taylor ( Lori), Iowa, and Dennis Taylor ( Freida), Colorado; her aunt, Lois Kelly, Waverly; extended family, Bianca Springer, Dominique Howard, Victor Howard, Nevaeh, Nariah, and Nasiah; and a host of friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
