Graveside services for Thomas Raley Moore, age 88 of Pegram, will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2020 from Bluff View Cemetery in Kingston Springs with Pastor Jack Davis officiating.  Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, the wearing of face masks and the practice of social distancing is encouraged and appreciated by the family.

Thomas Raley Moore, 88, of Pegram, TN passed away on Tuesday, October 20th, at The Lakeshore Meadows Retirement Home in Bellevue, after a lengthy battle against Alzheimer’s.

He was born November 6, 1931, in Dickson, TN.  He served his country during the Korean War for two years (1952-54).  Upon returning home, he married his wife, Johnell Cole in 1956.  He started employment at the Ford Glass Plant where he eventually retired after 35 years in 1996.  He was a member and faithful attender of First Baptist Church in Pegram.  He loved Jesus and lived by example the life of Christ.  He enjoyed the friendships in his Sunday school class, and the 55 and Alive Seniors group.  Pop, as he was known by his family and most friends, loved gardening.  He got most pleasure from sharing what he grew in his garden.   He enjoyed his weekly outings with his oldest son, Eric, to have lunch and go to the South Cheatham Library to get books and movies.  He was an avid clock and watch collector.  At any given time, there would be a dozen or more clocks ticking and chiming!  Whenever there was a project that needed to be done,  he could always be counted on to help.  He helped his youngest son, Jeff, build his first house, and countless other projects.  He was especially proud of his two grandchildren, Andrew Thomas and Lauren Elizabeth.   Those that knew Pop, had a faithful friend.  He will be dearly missed by all.

Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Orman and Edna Raley Moore; his siblings, Joanne Sullivan, Norma Jean Tkac, Billy Glenn Moore, James Wendell Moore, and Donna Rhea Moore.

He is survived by his wife, Johnell Cole Moore, of Pegram; sons, John Eric Moore and Jeffery Orman Moore (Kay S.), all of Pegram; brothers, Edward Orman Moore (Dianne) of Dickson, and Bobby Ward Moore of Michigan; grandchildren, Andrew Thomas Moore (Angela) and Lauren Elizabeth Moore; nieces and nephews
