Benny died Sunday evening, October 25, 2020 at his home following a battle with brain cancer. Born in Dickson on October 3, 1956, Benny was the third of five children born to the late John B. and Loretta Powell Noland. He was a 1974 graduate of Dickson County High School and received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Benny retired early as a lineman for Dickson Electric Service for him to pursue full-time his passion for farming. Benny was a third-generation farmer in Dickson County and much of the land he owned and farmed had been in the family for many years.  He was proud of the fact that his farm achieved "Century Farm" status in 2017.  He was married to Kathy Colleen McClure (Warf), who predeceased him in 2018.

Benny was active in his church, Burns United Methodist Church, serving as treasurer until his illness and had served in other capacities through the years.  He had recently joined the Gideons, an organization known for distributing Holy Bibles throughout the world.  Benny was also active in his community, holding memberships and serving in positions of leadership in several stewardship organizations such as the Farm Bureau, Dickson Farmers' CO-OP, the Soil Conservation Board, and Dickson County Cattlemen's Assn.  He was proud of his appointment to the Board of Directors of the Bank of Dickson.

Survivors include his sister, Vickie Stevens, Dickson; his three brothers, John Noland (Michelle) of Houston, TX, Tom Noland of Dickson, and Don Noland (Kimberly) of Leopold, IN; his special friend and companion, Mary Ann Norman Hopkins, of Dickson; his step-children, Tracy Warf of Burns, and Matthew Warf (Angie) of Dickson; his grandchildren, Austin and Kaden; his aunt and uncle, Peggy and Charles Frey of Schertz, TX; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends and co-workers, Joseph, Scarlett, and Cash McMeen, Danny Duke, Kenneth Harrington, Chandler Sullivan, Spencer Tomlinson, Mike Henry, David Brogdon, and many other friends and loved ones.
