 Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon, January 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. from the Walnut Street Church of Christ with Bro. Steve Baggett, Dr. Bryan McAlister officiating and Frank Bradford will have prayer. There will be no public visitation prior to services.   Clay, age 65, of Bon Aqua, TN died Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Tri-Star Horizon Medical Center.

  In lieu of flowers or other gifts, Clay’s family requests that a memorial donation be made to “The Ginger Harris Young Endowment Scholarship” at Freed Hardeman University, to assist students majoring in special education at the university. Donations may be sent to the the fund at the Office of Advancement, 158 E. Main St., Henderson TN, 38340.

 Jimmy Clay Young of Dickson, TN was born to Harold and Norma Young September 27, 1955. Clay and his sister Carol were raised in Nashville, TN, and he graduated from Antioch High School. He attended Lipscomb University and Freed Hardeman University. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Norma Young of Nashville, and his first wife Ginger Daneen Young. Clay married Jane (Keef) Young in March 2020.

    He loved his church family at Walnut Street Church of Christ where he enjoyed leading singing. He retired from management in the marketing and advertising field.

  He is survived by Jane Young (Dickson, TN), son Will Young and wife Andrea (Florence, AL), Leah Gott and husband Eric (Pelham, AL), sister Carol White and husband David (Greenbrier, TN), grandchildren Ella and Emmaline Young, four foster children of Leah and Eric Gott. His step-son Charlie Wert and fiancé Lauren Sansing (Pensacola, FL), step-daughter,   Cissy Williams and her husband Bob (Dickson, TN), step grandchildren Kara Montgomery and her husband Peyton, Ethan Wert, Jack Wert, Drew Williams and Allyson Williams. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly.
