Mr. Daniel D. White, Jr., age 88 of Bon Aqua, died Thursday, June 13, 2013.  Visitation will be held on Saturday from 2 until 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until time of service.  Funeral services for Mr. Daniel D. White, Jr. will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 16, 2013 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Wilson Jenkins officiating.  Interment will follow in the Parker-Fowlkes Cemetery. 

A Dickson County native, he was the son of the late Daniel D. and Lillie Glasner White.  Mr. White was an airplane pilot and had a lifelong love of planes, flying, and the mechanics of airplanes.  He flew with Garland Pack (for whom the Dickson Airport was named) and served as an airplane mechanic (USMC) during World War II.  He was married to Delores A. Hudgins White, who preceded him in death earlier this year.  He was a self-employed sheet metal worker and was known in the area for his skills as an auto body shop worker.  Mr. White, a member of New Bethel Church of Christ was also a minister of the gospel and had most recently preached at Wrigley Church of Christ.

He  is survived by three sons, Jimmy (and Donna) White, Lyles, Ricky (and Candy) White, and Clark White, all of Bon Aqua; six daughters, Susan (and Robert) Beard, Slayden, Carolyn (and Mark) Brumley and Joyce (and Danny) Tidwell, all of Dickson, Sandra (and Larry) Owens, Fairview, Patricia White, White Bluff, and Sherrie (and Kenny) Harris, Nunnelly; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. 

Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by five children, Everette Lee White, Mark Anthony White, Shirley Elaine White, Peggy White Hamilton, and Dorothy White Fisher.
