A graduate of Memphis’ University of Tennessee School of Pharmacology, John moved back to Dickson in 1981 and later joined in partnership with David Shepard at Goodlark Pharmacy.
John purposefully retired in 2003 in order to travel internationally with his spouse Karen Anderson. They were married at Ollantaytambo, Peru in 2001 and have traveled extensively through Asia, South America, Europe, and New Zealand among other adventures.
John was an avid reader, science and technology enthusiast, patron of humanitarian need, advocate of animal rescue, and an alternative medicines practitioner. He will be remembered as man of great heart and a kind and gentle spirit.
Besides his spouse, John is survived by brothers, Murray and Tom Crow and sister, Fran Blackburn.
It was John’s request that he be cremated with no services, but if you wish to make a donation in his memory, his request was that donations be made to The Alliance For the Advancement of Stem Cell Therapy and Research 9240 Bonita Beach Road - Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
