Funeral services for Letha Lankford Petty, age 83 of Dickson will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 27, 2013 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Darety officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m.
A Dickson County native, Letha was the daughter of the late Hickman L. and Elsie Mae Harrington Garton. She was a homemaker and a member of Pomona Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Major Billy E. Lankford, USAF, and her second husband, Maurice W. Petty.
Survivors include her three daughters, Patricia (Joseph) Bradley, Murfreesboro, Billie Sue Lankford and Sandra Lankford, both of Nashville; sister, Eva Garton Armstrong, Nashville; three granddaughters, Jennifer Davis and her husband, Jason, Jocelyn Delk and her husband, Joe, and Joanna Bradley; and five great grandchildren, Isaac Delk, Joshua Davis, Abigail Delk, Andrew Delk, and Julia Davis.
