Mrs. Hattie Phillips Farmer, age 96 of Dickson died Friday, November 29, 2013. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 until 8 pm. Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Farmer will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Wilson County Memorial Park in Lebanon.
Born in Lewis County, Tennessee, Hattie was the daughter of the late Woodfin B. and Nellie Easley Phillips. She graduated from the former Dickson High School in the 1935 class. A homemaker, Hattie was married to John C. Farmer, who preceded her in death in 2000.
She is survived by a son, W. Michael Farmer, Smithfield, VA; two daughters, Sara Fisher, Brentwood, TN and Patricia Underwood, Townsend, GA; a brother, Bro. Foy Phillips, Dickson; and three sisters, Chrystine Walton, Dickson, Edith Hayes, Cumberland Furnace, and Freida Primm, Dickson; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
