Norma Jean Hall Harris

 A graveside service for Norma Jean Hall Harris, age 82, of Thompson Station, formerly of Dickson, will be held at the Harris Cemetery in Cumberland Furnace on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 following a visitation from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.  Mrs. Harris died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at The Arbors in Spring Hill, Tennessee.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made in her honor to Peace Lutheran Church; 762 Beechcroft Road; Spring Hill, TN  37174.
 
A native of Dickson County, Norma Jean was the daughter of the late William Crawford and Susie Sager Hall.  She was married to the Reverend William G. “Bill” Harris, who predeceased her in 2001.  Norma’s life was a life of service to others, being the wife of a Methodist minister and a mother to three children and eight grandchildren.  She was a member of the United Methodist Church.  In later years, she attended Peace Lutheran Church in Spring Hill.  She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Hall and Malcolm Hall and by two sisters, Myra Delones and Betty Dawson.
 
Survivors include her son, Wayne W. Harris and his wife, Donna, of Franklin, TN; two daughters, Mary Sue Harris Rockwell and her husband, Hilleary C. “Rocky”, of Jacksonville, FL, and Alice Harris Mason, of Thompson Station, TN; one sister, Ruth Marie Hall, Nashville, TN; and eight granddaughters, Erin, Katharine, Kimberly, Chelsea, Veronica, Mary Grace, Rebecca, and Alyson.
