Mrs. Dunn, retired Bell South foreman with 39 years of service, died Jan. 21, 2014 at NHC of Dickson after a brief illness. Born in Union County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late William Edger and Lottie Mae Carder Cavender. She moved to Atlanta when she was five years old. She worked with Southern Bell Telephone Company in Georgia and Tennessee for 39 years. She retired in 1984. She attended the Church of Christ at Bellevue from 1977 until 2000. She and Elmer then moved to Dickson County and was a member of the Walnut Street Church of Christ until her passing. She was a true southern lady, who was blessed with many talents including being a most talented seamstress; she had a great love for cooking...and created many works of art with her hands especially in making rugs. She was preceded in death by her step daughter; Sherrie Dunn Evans, her Brothers and Sisters; Oscar Cavender and his wife, Sarah, William Carl Cavender, Fred Cavender, and Myrtle Cleaton and her husband, Bill.
Survivors include Her Husband, William Elmer Dunn of Dickson,Tn, Her Sons; Douglas Corley of Costa Mesa, California, Jeffrey Corley of Vanleer, Tn and Gregory Corley and wife, Lori of Dallas, Texas, Her Step Daughter; Nancilynn Dunn of Franklin,Tn Her Grandchildren; Hannah Corley, Grayson Corley, Landon Corley, Todd Evans and his wife Kristin and Christy Evans, Her Great Grandchildren; Josiah Evans and Bethany Grace Evans Her Step Son in law; Leslie Evans of Alamo, Tn, Her Brother; Patrick Cavender and his wife, Elinor of Brownsville,Texas, and Her Sister Blanche Gary of Tampa, FL. Her Sister in law; Wilma Cavender of Pavo, Georgia, and Jackie Cavender of Jackson, Georgia.
