   Funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon, March 21, 2015 at 2 pm from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Picard officiating. Place of rest will be in the Marvin Addition of the Dickson Union Cemetery.
   Visitation with the family will be Friday evening, March 20th from 4 pm until 8 pm and on Saturday beginning at 12 noon until time of service.
   Those desiring, memorials may be made to the Pond Presbyterian Church.
   Mrs. Porter ,age 80, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, died peacefully Tuesday evening, March 17th at her home. Born in Putnam County, she was the daughter of the late James Gordon and Nellie Tucker Hughes.  She was retired, after 30 years of service,  from the Dickson County Board of Education where worked as a teachers aide with the special education program. Mrs. Porter was a member of the Pond Presbyterian Church.
   Survivors include her Husband of 62 years, Mr. Eddie Ray Porter; Her Daughter; Cindy Madewell and her husband, Tommy; Her Sons, Jeff Porter, Ronnie Porter, Tony Porter and his wife, Chrissy, Chris Porter and his wife, Patti; Her seven grandchildren; one great grandchild and one soon to be great granddaughter; Her half brothers and  half sisters, Steve Hughes, Jim Hughes, Ben Bratcher, Kathy Chambers, Jackie Vaughn and Libby Hughes.
