Funeral services for William Harrison “Bill” Lynn, age 86 of Dickson were held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Truitt officiating. Interment followed in the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
A native of Virginia, Bill was married to Faye Clark Lynn who preceded him in death in 2010. He served in the U. S. Navy following WWII. Bill was a retired jeweler and was the owner/operator of William Lynn and Sons Jewelers. He was also a retired bus driver for Greyhound, a commercial charter airline pilot, and truck driver. He was a member of Dickson Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the American Legion, Salina Lodge #27 F&AM in Malden, West Virginia; a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, Al Menah Shriner and a member of the Dickson Shrine Club.
Survivors include two sons, William Douglas Lynn and David Curtis Lynn, both of Dickson; two daughters, Sherrie Hudgins and Diane Southern, both of North Carolina; brother-in law, Robert M. “Bobby” Clark and his wife, Peggy, Glasgow, VA; sister-in-law, Nancy Conklin and her husband, John, Owego, NY; three grandchildren; and his best friend, John D. Jude and his wife, Lee, Dickson.
