Mrs. Barbara Anne Trinkle Hicks, age 88 of Dickson went to be with the Lord on June 20, 2015, after an extended illness with her family by her side. She was born on March 26, 1927 in Clarksville, Tennessee. She was married to the late Lt. Col. Malcolm G. Hicks, Ret. USAF, and her husband of 65 years who passed in 2011. She was a Christian and a member of the Walnut St. Church of Christ for many years.  She loved God and was devoted to her family. Barbara was gracious and enjoyed life, and enjoyed being an USAF officer’s wife. She and her husband lived in Germany after WWII; then in Texas, Mississippi; Ecuador, California and finally retiring to live in Dickson in 1965 (where she had lived as a child). We want to thank all the many caregivers Barbara had over the last few years.

She is survived by sons, Daniel G. Hicks, Sr. (Brenda) of Dickson, TN; William G. Hicks (Julie) of Dickson, TN; daughter, Virginia H. McIntosh (Ralph) of Madison, TN; grandchildren, Daniel G. Hicks, Jr. (Alina); Phillip Hicks; Dale McIntosh; Corinne Ragsdale (Ricky); Jared McIntosh; Drew Hicks; Justin Hicks; and several step-grand and step-great grandchildren.
