   Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, June 6, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the chapel of the Taylor Funeral Home with Pastor Peter du Toit officiating and with Rev. Tom Herring giving readings and with Bo Johnson and Joe Johnson giving eulogies. Place of rest will be in the Wrigley Cemetery in Hickman County.
   Visitation will be on Sunday, June 5th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and will continue on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
   Those desiring, Memorials may be made to the East Hickman United Methodist Church.
   Marie, age 79, of Bon Aqua, TN formerly of Wrigley died June 4, 2016 in Vanderbilt Medical Center after a short stay.
   She was born in Hickman County, daughter of the late James Taylor "Jim" and Ella Pate "Mart" Hargrove Martin.  She was a graduate of Hickman County High School, Class of 1954.  Marie was the last of the beloved Martin Sisters Trio. She and her late sisters Anna Laura and Bertie Pate entertained people for years and years with their gospel and bluegrass music. They operated the former Pickin and Grinin in the old store on Spencer Mill. Anywhere there was a crowd with them there was music.  They also operated the former Martin Sisters Restaurant on hwy 46.  The Martin Sisters were active in their friend, Johnny Crow's campaign for State Senate for years as his entertainment for political gatherings.
   She had that God given talent to play by ear the piano, organ, banjo, guitar and auto harp.  In her early years her parents took her for piano lessons, she took only a few lessons until the teacher told them that they were wasting their money... She was going to play by ear... She was a lifelong Methodist and was a member of the East Hickman United Methodist Church where for many, many years she was the pianist. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and "Ma", sister, aunt and friend.. She carried the love of the Lord in her heart and it showed.  Marie had love for people and could never be embarrassed in any situation because she could respond very quickly with her quick wit. She had that ability to never meet a stranger and shared her infectious, joyous, spirit with all of those around her.
   Marie formerly worked with the Bon Aqua -Lyles Untility District as secretary and later worked with and retired from Farmers Home Administration. 
   She was the wife and love of 61 years to Henry Bledsoe of Bon Aqua, TN; mother to Vickie Roder (Ronnie), Angie Jackson (Kenneth) both of Dickson,TN, and Mitzy Griffin (Gerald) of Bon Aqua,TN,  "Ma" to Mario Roder, Paige Bentley, Roxanne Roder, Ella Grace Griffin; great "Ma" to Anna, Malachi, Morgan, Jenna, Wyatt, Levi, Alyssa; Sister to Buddy Martin of Columbia, TN;Aunt to Tabby Carrigan DeHaven, Tina Carrigan Johnson and Jennifer Martin Sharp. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Anna Laura Yates and Bertie Pate McAllister.
   Family will serve as casketbearers.
