   Larry Dale Murphy – Age 52 of Charlotte, TN died peacfully on September 16, 2016 in Nashville.

   A Gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2016 from 12-8pm at Taylor Funeral Home.

   A Celebration of Dale’s Life will be conducted on Monday, September 19, 2016 at 3pm from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Jerry Sensing officiating. Visitation will also be held from 10 am until service time on Monday.

   Dale Murphy was baptized in Christ in 1997 by Bro Clarence DeLoach at Walnut Street Church of Christ. He is the owner of Dale Murphy Construction in Charlotte, TN for the past 30 years. Dale was an avid golfer, loving family man and always went out of his way to not only doing things for his family and others, but especially his wife, Shauna and twin daughters, Haley and Hannah.

   He LOVED his girls! Whether it was family trips to the beach, coaching t-ball/softball, standing on the fairway of the golf course or reading the Night Before Christmas on every Christmas Eve, there was Dale and his daughters. He loved his Harley Davidson and taking long rides with his wife, Shauna.

   Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Haley Dale Murphy; father, Terry Murphy; and grandparents, John & Virginia Hafner and Tom & Bessie Murphy.

   He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Shauna Simons Murphy; daughter, Hannah Murphy McConnell (Dalton); mother, Elaine Brown (Edsel); brother, Jimmy Murphy (April); sister, Terri Rountree (Steve); nieces and nephew, Shannon Rountree Higgs (Dustin), Shelby Rountree, Morgan Murphy (Katelyn) and Madison Murphy; step-brothers, Kenny Brown, Mike Brown (Laurie) and Robby Murphy (Karen). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and other nieces and nephews.

   In lieu of flowers and in honor of the life of Dale, memorial donations may be made the Haley Dale Murphy Memorial Fund, for scholarships and support of Creekwood High School’s Softball and Golf Programs.
