Funeral services for Mr. Matthew Steven Baggett, age 38 of Cookeville, will be held Monday May 28th at 1:00 pm at Jefferson Ave. Church of Christ with Bro. Buddy Johnson and Bro. Steve Baggett officiating. Private interment will be at a later date at Crest Lawn Cemetery. 
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Cookeville chapel of Hooper-Huddleston & Horner Funeral Home and again Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Matt died on May 24, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born February 9, 1980 in Shelbyville, TN. He moved to Cookeville, TN with his parents in 1981 where he attended Parkview Elementary School. In 1989 his family moved to Franklin, KY where he graduated from Franklin/Simpson High School in 1998. He was a 2002 graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. He married the love of his life, Rebecca, on November 11, 2006. 
Matt was a faithful member of Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville. He was a dedicated employee of Fed Ex Supply Chain in Lebanon, TN for the last five years. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, and adored member of his extended family. Matt exhibited the heart of a servant, being willing to serve and assist others in any way possible.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Rodney and Kathryn Baggett of Clarksville, TN. 
He is survived by his loving wife, Rebecca; his beautiful children: Lane Matthew (7 years old), John Steven (3 years old), and Anna Kathryn (6 months old); his parents Steve and Pam Baggett of Dickson, TN; his brother Jason Baggett (Desiree) of Dickson, TN; his father and mother-in-law, John and Lynn Lane of Cookeville, TN; his brothers and sisters-in-law, James and Whitney Lane, and Michael and Kim Lane; two nieces, Maggie Kate Baggett and Hattie Belle Lane; and his grandparents Roy and Marie Burkhart of Dickson, TN. 
His family will serve as pallbearers.
