Funeral services will be Saturday September 22, 2018 at 2 PM from the Chapel of Taylor Funeral Home with Bro. Aaron Terlecki officiating. Place of rest will be in the Dickson Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Saturday September 22nd from 11 AM until time of service.
Mr. Thomas Brown “Brownie” Love, age 90 of Burns, TN died peaceably at his home on Tuesday September 18, 2018. Born in Nashville, TN he was the son of the late James Slayden Love, Sr. and Ethel Buelah Brown Love and was preceded in death by his grandson Trent Harris and his great granddaughter, Abigail Myatt. His early years attending school were at McEwen Elementary. He moved and attended school in Madison. He entered the Army at age 17, where he served in Japan from July 1946 to December 1947. He then served in the Korean War in 1950 to 1952, where he was honorably discharged. He was a carpenter by trade and he was known to many as Brownie Love of Burns. He loved to piddle in his shop and was well known in the Burns community. He loved listening to bluegrass music and fiddle playing and also loved to square dance.
Survivors include his wife of 65 years, JoAnne Bear Love of Burns, TN; daughters, Paula Martin of Dickson, TN, Kathy Guess (Willie) of Burns, TN, Marci Harris (Greg Swaw) of Dickson, TN, Traci Love of Burns, TN; brother, James Slayden Love, Jr. (Kathleen) of Lexington, KY; 7 grandchildren, Derrick Dillard, Kyle Bates, Shae Tolbert (Roy), Alyson Fuson (Jacob), Christopher Rice, Shelbi Myatt, Kelsi Sullivan; 6 great grandchildren, Miya Dillard, Kylee Rae Bates, Jeremiah Tolbert, Colton Myatt, Tyler Porter, Ryker Monzon; several nieces and nephews.
