  Dan, age 40, of Dickson, TN died suddenly April 15, 2019, in East Tennessee from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Dan was born in Nashville, Tennessee. He grew up in Dickson and was the son of Joe Russell Anglin Sr. and Mary Kaye Ingram Anglin.  He was educated in Dickson County Schools and was a 1996 graduate of Dickson County High School. He later attended the University of Tennessee-Knoxville where he was an avid UT Vols fan and later graduated from Tennessee State University with a B.S. in Chemistry. After graduation, he pursued his career in Greeneville, TN where he was a chemist with N. B. Coatings.  Dan enjoyed being outside any chance he could, and he always seemed to be on the move. The lights of his life were his two children, Noah Daniel and Julia Hope. He loved them dearly, and they gave him so much to live for. He loved family and especially his nieces and nephews. Dan was often referred to as the “Baby Whisperer” as he could always quiet his baby nieces and nephews when they were crying. He had a contagious personality and was an all-around friendly and happy type of guy.

Survivors include his two children Noah Daniel Anglin of Clarksville, TN and Julia Hope Anglin of Chattanooga, TN, his parents, Joe and Mary Kaye Anglin of Dickson, TN; his brother, Joe Russell Anglin, Jr. of Nashville, TN, and his two sisters Martha Anglin Hastings and her husband, Jared of Kingston Springs, TN and Emily Kate Newberry and her husband, Brad of Dickson, TN; his grandmother; Mary Ruth Ingram of Dickson, TN and his grandfather Richard Harvey Anglin, Sr. of Ridgeland, MS; his fiancée, Sheila Elaine Stacy, nieces and nephews; Madison Kate and Levi Bradley Newberry, Charlotte Nell , Amelia Grace and Jackson Williams Hastings.  Also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many, many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Daniel L. Engle Sr. his grandfather, W. G. Ingram, Jr., and his grandmother, Frances Lillian Anglin.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, April 20, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. from the First Baptist Church in Dickson, TN. Pastor Mike Miller will officiate. Visitation will be Friday evening, April 19, 2019, at Taylor Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church beginning at 12 Noon until time of service. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of Prayer Mausoleum at the Dickson County Memorial Gardens.
