Born in Charlotte, TN, Bobby was the son of the late Herbert Leonard and Beverly Mae Williams Vaughn. He served our country in the National Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked for the former Schrader Automotive division of Scovill Manufacturing and later worked for the State of Tennessee at TDOT. He loved to fish and to hunt rabbits. Bobby was a happy man and was always singing or whistling. He found pleasure in working and when he was not getting paid to work, he was still happy picking corn, gardening, and working in apples.
Survivors include his son, Barry Vaughn (Deborah), White Bluff; his daughter, Star Rena Tressler (Bob), Mobile, AL; the mother of his children and his life-long friend, Betty Sue; his brothers, Andrew Vaughn, Dickson, David Vaughn, White Bluff, Wayne Vaughn (Patsy), Dickson, and Jimmy Vaughn (Roxanne), Burns; his sister, Kay Pate (Hugh), Dickson; his two grandchildren, Lauren and Logan; and his beloved chihuahua, Tina, better known as “Chigger”.
