Wanda died Friday October 4, 2019 at the Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville.
She was born in Hammond Indiana, daughter of the late Howard and Vera Whaley Chapman. Wanda was a
retired registered nurse who worked in Indiana, Chicago and California. Her desire to care for others transcended her position as a nurse. She loved to play golf and tennis, but quilting was her passion. Several of these masterpieces hang on the wall of her home in Burns, Tennessee.
Wanda lit up the room whenever she walked in and constantly brought joy to peoples hearts. She lost her battle with cancer , and in now pain-free and dancing with the Lord. She lived a life as beautiful as she was, and will truly be missed.
Survivors include her loving and faithful husband of 40 years, John L. Moore, as well as two beautiful daughters, Pam and Diana, three grandchildren, Tiffany, Zac and Nick, three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Jonah and Lenora and stepson, Phillip H. Moore.
