Visitation and memorial services for Oliver G. “Uncle Si” Rackley, age 67 of Charlotte, are scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2020 from the Christian Life Center of Dickson First United Methodist Church, 215 N. Main St., Dickson.  The family will begin receiving friends at 1 p.m. and will continue until 3 p.m. when Masonic services will begin under the direction of Oliver’s home lodge, Iron Lodge #503, F&AM.  Following the visitation and Masonic service, family and friends are invited to proceed into the sanctuary for a Celebration of Life memorial service with Ed White officiating.  Oliver died Thursday, January 30th at his home.

Born in Tullahoma, TN, Oliver was the son of the late Arthur and Opal Binkley Rackley.  He served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era.  He was married to Anna Dyer Rackley.  Oliver was very active in freemasonry in Dickson County and Middle Tennessee, being a Past Master of White Bluff Lodge and Iron Lodge.  He was also a member of Dickson Chapter #291, Order of Eastern Star, the Nashville Scottish Rite Bodies, Dickson York Rite Bodies, Al Menah Shrine Temple, and the Three Degrees Motorcycle Club.  Oliver was a welder by trade and used his skills to create ways to entertain children of all ages.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Shriners Children’s Hospitals, Ronald McDonald House (Nashville), Dickson County Help Center, Dickson Relay for Life, or Dickson Co. Child Advocacy Center.

Survivors include his wife, Anna Rackley, Charlotte; two sons, Kevin Rackley (Amber), Dunlap, TN and Troy Rackley (Jessica), Winchester, TN; three brothers, James Rackley and Paul Rackley, both of Copperas Cove, TX and Mace Rackley, Rock Island, TN; one sister, Darlene Rackley, Nashville; six grandchildren, Zach Moore, River Rackley (Haley), Rylee Rackley, Justin Rackley, Amber Rackley, and Aidan Rackley; one great-granddaughter, Sabree Rackley.  He was preceded in death by a son, Stacey Rackley, by his twin sisters, Thelma and Velma Rackley; by brothers, Donnie Rackley, Jerry Rackley, Howard Dorset Rackley, and Ray Dee Rackley; and by his best friend, Reba Rose Rackley.
