 Mrs. Edna N. Waychoff, age 97 of Dickson, TN died on March 16, 2020.   A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at a later date. 

Mrs. Waychoff was born November 3, 1922 in the town of Isabelle, located in the southwestern corner of Pennsylvania.  She was a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Hazel Pearl Bane Broadwater.  She attended the school of business at Penn Commercial in Washington, PA.  She married Ralph “Ted” Waychoff, a WW II U.S. Navy Veteran and coal miner.  Mrs. Waychoff retired from the payroll dept. of Shrader’s Automotive to answer her calling to use her God given talent of being a grandmother.  This role of taking care of her family brought her unmeasurable joy.  Edna had a wonderful and merry spirit.  As a talented seamstress, she performed numerous alterations for people of the Dickson community.   She had a real passion for quilting.  Reading novels and baking goodies were also a favorite pastime.  She attended services at the Craigfield Freewill Baptist Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church.    

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph “Ted” Jackson Waychoff; her sons, Ray Waychoff and Tom Waychoff; grandchildren, Jack Brown, and Darla Womble Floyd; siblings, William “Bill” Broadwater, Kenneth Broadwater, Mike Broadwater, Russell Broadwater, Virginia Bales. 

She is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Brown of Dickson, TN; her son, Ralph “Ted” Henry Waychoff (Marla) of Burns, TN; her grandchildren, Chris Waychoff (Jenny) who she raised as a son, and Charlie Brown, Cherie Wilson (Clay), Michael Waychoff (Erin), Robin Selberg (David), Rick Waychoff, Ray Waychoff and Drew Waychoff ; her brother, Calvin “Jim” Broadwater (Elfie) of California; her sisters, Nancy McNeely and Pat Reggets (Don) both of Pennsylvania; 21 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren.
