Sarah Allen Grimes Turner of Dickson, TN passed from this world on Thursday, October 1, 2020 in Hendersonville, TN in the presence of her family.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at 6:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home.  Visitation is scheduled for Saturday from 5:00 PM until the time of service at 6:00 PM.

Sarah was born in Dickson, TN on December 2, 1951. She was the daughter of Edd and Beatrice Grimes who both preceded her in death. She married her High School sweetheart, Perry Turner on her 16th Birthday in 1967. The two lived and raised their children, Tricee and Brandy, on the rich history of their descendants’ land. Sarah and Perry remained committed to each other in love and marriage for 51 years.

Sarah was strong in her faith as a child and throughout her many faithful years on earth. She started her spiritual journey at Worley Furnace Baptist Church and continued with 2nd Street Church of Christ, Walnut Street Church of Christ, and The Apostolic Revival Center all here in Dickson, TN. Sarah wrote God’s word onto her heart and into the lives of all those around her.

Sarah was a devoted wife, mother, sister, friend, and NANA to so many people. She participated in prayer groups and daily Bible study, writing and keeping her prayers and Bible with her wherever she was. Sarah enjoyed gardening, seeing God’s grace in her beautiful flowers, elephant ear plants along the walkway, and the magnificent magnolia tree Perry and she planted together that still thrives in the front yard. Sarah would say God’s greatest blessings to her were her family and the love she shared with them every day.

Sarah was preceded in death by her husband, Perry Turner; (1) brother, John Grimes; and (1) sister, Rosetta Harmon.

She leaves to mourn her two (2) children, Tricee Turner and Brandy Turner-King (Jamal); grandchildren, Jhe’Dienne, Torri, Leah, Harris, Kari Belle, Charles, Addi, Brystol, Montgomery, and Kambri; brother & sister(s), Ida Pearl, Eddie Jean (Charles), Eddie Ray, Tim,  and Donna; sister-in-law, Marion Breedlove; brother-in-law, Danny Turner; and special friend, Lois Johnson along with a host of other nieces, nephews and friends.
