     A Celebration of Life services will take place for Mr. Donald Thomas Murphy from the chapel of Taylor Funeral Home on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will be held Friday from 4:00 P.M. until time of service.
     Mr. Murphy age 56 of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at CHI St Vincent Infirmary in Little Rock, Arkansas.
     Mr. Murphy was born to the late Donald Lee Murphy and Martha Lois Murphy of Dickson, TN. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother James Lidon Murphy (Jimbo) of Dickson, TN.
     Mr. Murphy worked for fifteen years for Wabash Alloys as Foreman. Then Foreman at Consolidated Engineering Company for a couple of years in Dickson. His last work was self-employed carpentry for several years.
     Donald was called “Dude” by all of his family and friends. He was a life-time resident of Dickson County. He just in the past year moved in with his twin brother Ronald (Rudy) in Arkansas. It was time for them to be together doing the things they enjoyed doing the most.
     Dude was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed being outdoors and spent many hours in the woods sharing his skills with his daughter, friends and other family members. He enjoyed being with friends at deer and fish camp with brother Rudy. There wasn’t anything that he loved more than taking his girls and grandchildren fishing. He was always ready to cookout and share the catch and the stories of those moments with his family and friends.

     Survivors include daughters, Ashley Deering (Jason) of Gallatin, TN and Amelia Murphy (Burn) of Goodlettsville,TN; brother, Ronald Murphy (Ruth) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; sisters, Bonnie Capps (Tony) of Dickson TN, Cindy McFarlin (Kenny) of Ashland City,TN and Heather Murphy of Ashland City, TN; grandchildren, Kira, Ella, Brogan, Ryker, Jason Jr, Charlotte, Georgia, Mariah; several nieces and nephews.
